Introducing our latest Annual Report (which you can download below), we reflect on a wonderful tenth anniversary year and on what lies ahead.
2025: Who’d have thought?!
IP Inclusive began to take shape at a CIPA-led round-table in January 2015. In 2025 we found ourselves celebrating its tenth anniversary, a whole decade of progress that had brought IP professionals together in pursuit of equality, diversity, inclusion (EDI) and wellbeing.
2025 was an amazing year and we had plenty to celebrate. It also came at a time when EDI faced increasing challenges around the world. But despite – or perhaps because of – those issues, IP Inclusiveโs role as an independent, sector-wide initiative grew in importance and value.
The year saw plenty of celebratory events and activities. It saw a stakeholder survey and a fabulous Impact Report showcasing ten key IP Inclusive achievements. It saw the launch of a new business plan for 2025-27, its theme of “community” reflecting what people told us IP Inclusive did best. We will spend the next two years developing and strengthening that community: the support networks and safe spaces it provides, the energy and influence it generates, the collaboration it engenders, and – most importantly – the people that make it all happen.
There were many other highlights, and a great deal of progress on key projects. There’s also more in the pipeline for 2026. It’s all there in our 2025 Annual Report,ย which we’re delighted to publish here today. Do take a look!
In her foreword to the report, our Lead Executive Officer Andrea Brewster writes:
“I suspect no one could have predicted, back at that 2015 round-table, how IP Inclusive would evolve and the impact it would have on the UK IP professions. Nor could we have guessed how the wider EDI landscape might change over that time. Who knows what the next decade will bring? โ Whatever, we face it with confidence and a renewed sense of commitment.”
She finishes by confirming the business case for diversity and inclusion, which neither individual organisations nor the profession as a whole can afford to ignore, and the need to protect the IP Inclusive community that all of us are part of. “We will do that together,” she says, “for as long as it takes. We have much to be proud of and much more to look forward to.”
