A free Careers in Ideas Week webinar
Thursday 19 November 2020
9 – 10 am

Careers in Ideas Week was a time to focus on the variety of careers that there are in intellectual property (IP).

The Law Society’s IP Law Committee kindly co-hosted this webinar with Careers in Ideas Week, to give some insight into the different routes to becoming an IP solicitor and what it’s like to work in IP. The event was aimed at those considering a career as an IP solicitor and those who were wondering where their career might take them next. It included an introduction to the different qualification routes available, a panel discussion and a Q&A session.

Joanna Conway, IP Partner at Kemp Little and Co-Lead of IP Inclusive’s Women in IP community, moderated the panel discussion. The panellists talked about how they got into IP law, their journeys so far, and what advice they would give to someone thinking about a career as an IP solicitor. There were also opportunities for delegates to ask the panel their own questions.
