Here are some tweets our supporters have been sharing about their activities to mark Careers in Ideas Week. These are just from the run-up to the week itself – look out for a whole load more scrapbook entries in the next few days!

Do share your news too, and help us celebrate all the fantastic things people are doing to raise awareness of IP-related careers and inspire the next – and more diverse – generations of recruits. Tag @IPInclusive and @CareersInIdeas.

Delighted to be participating in Careers in Ideas Week, this week (Nov 16th). We so need to broaden the appeal of the IP professions (including paralegals and all support functions, such as IT, HR, finance, marketing, business development, etc.) to a more diverse cohort of young people, otherwise we shall never achieve the diverse and inclusive profession that will benefit not only ourselves but also those for whom we provide IP-related services. And the first step in diversifying our appeal (hence hopefully our future recruits) is to widen awareness of the IP professions - who we are, what we do, how we support and help those who innovate, create, invent, and why this is important and interesting - to a broad range of people. So please join the Careers in Ideas team to help raise awareness and support recruitment that increases the diversity of our wonderful profession. This week is aimed at helping you to do this, by providing hints and tips on how to approach and engage schools and universities, and groups of students and individuals. There are already a number of tools on our website - and on the IPO's website, too - that you can adapt to your needs, and people on the team who are willing and able to help get you started or to go further into the process - as we know many of you are already reaching out and some of you have been doing so for years. We would also appreciate hearing about your hints and tips, so we can share these more widely to the benefit of the whole IP profession. Looking forward to 'seeing' you at events this Careers in Ideas week!
