Meet the speaker
Bob Hughes (he/him) is the Fundraising Manager (and a former listening volunteer) at Switchboard, the national LGBTQIA+ support line. With a background in education, the charity sector and LGBTQIA+ rights, Bob is passionate about EDI and community support, and in particular, about how active listening allows people to have agency to make their own decisions and check their own assumptions. Bob will be talking about the last 50 years of history of both Switchboard and the LGBTQIA+ community, and what lessons we can learn from recent trends and statistics in Switchboard’s conversations.
Cost
Attendance was free but registrants were requested to make a donation to Switchboard. There was also an opportunity to donate at the in-person event.
