A hybrid event in London and online
brought to you by Keltie LLP, Jonathan’s Voice and IP Inclusive
Thursday 21 November 2024, 5.30 for 6 pm
Keltie LLP hosted an in-person interactive discussion on menβs mental health in the modern world with a focus on male suicide awareness and prevention. We were joined by the fantastic charity Jonathanβs Voice and brilliant specialist guest speaker Dr Susie Bennett. The discussion was also available online for those who couldn’t make it in person. Tashes were encouraged if applicable!
Meet the speaker
Dr Susie Bennett
Susie is conducting research into male suicide at the University of Glasgow’s Suicidal Behaviour Research Laboratory, under the direction of Professor Rory O’Connor. Her work is part-funded by Jonathan’s Voice; you can find out more about it at https://jonathansvoice.org.uk/research-we-fund.
Location
Keltie LLP: No. 1 London Bridge, London, SE1 9BA
This was a hybrid event, to help us reach as many people as possible. However, the in-person element included time for networking with like-minded individuals in the profession after the talks.
Timings
Reception drinks: 5.30 – 6.00 pm
Talks and online section: 6.00 – 7.00 pm
Networking: 7.00 – 8.00 pm
Registration
This event was free. So are all our resources. The Jonathanβs Voice events and resources are also free at the point of delivery.
That said, both organisations do need money to keep the show on the road, so if you enjoyed the event please consider contributing via our Just Giving page. For more information, visitΒ the IP Inclusive fundraising page,Β orΒ the Jonathanβs Voice donations page.
Who was it for?
This event was for all UK-based IP professionals who are interested in mental wellbeing. We donβt mind where you work, what role you play there or what career level youβre at. This is an important topic, which touches many and matters to all of us.
We also encouraged people to invite a guest to watch the webinar or attend with them β someone in a different role or at a different career level, perhaps; an ally or potential ally; or a colleague whoβs not yet involved with IP Inclusive. They were all most welcome!
