Communicating confidently is a key part of creating an inclusive workplace; it helps us put our point of view across clearly and respectfully, while also allowing others to do the same. This lays the foundations for working environments based on openness and trust, where everyone feels valued
For business support professionals who are constantly having to find ways to balance competing priorities, manage expectations and meet tight deadlines – all in a fast paced environment – it can be hard to communicate with confidence and ensure their voice is heard. No wonder this can result in overcommitting, accepting unrealistic demands or simply saying nothing.
This highly practical webinar will explore
- how assertiveness differs from passive and aggressive styles
- how confident communication helps create a psychologically safe culture where we are more able to speak up
- how to adapt your communication style so that it is more confident and assertive in a variety of situations such as
- setting boundaries while maintaining good working relationships

The webinar will be led by Stella Chandler from our partners Focal Point – specialists in shaping workplace behaviour.

It is open to all those in business support teams, business services and operational functions in the IP sector as well as those wanting to support and act as allies to the business support community.
