Hybrid event, IP Out

From Albert Square to Parliament Square:
a life of LGBTQ+ rights activism

A hybrid IP Out event on Thursday 22 February 2024
6 pm for 6.30 pm

IP Out’s February 2024 speaker event, “A life of LGBQT+ activism”, was a lively conversation with Baron Cashman of Limehouse, one of the leading campaigners for LGBTQ+ rights in the UK and one of the founding fathers of Stonewall UK.

Delegates were able to attend this event either in-person or remotely. As usual, we welcomed allies.

Our speaker

Michael Cashman (Baron Cashman of Limehouse) has been one of the leading campaigners for LGBTQ+ rights in the UK of his generation. He was then a Labour politician and was an MEP from 1999 to 2014 and now sits in the House of Lords. He was founding Chair of the Stonewall Group. He recently published his memoir “One of Them”.
