IP & ME Masterclass on Tackling your Negative Inner Voice:
How to take your power back
Thursday 13 June 2024
12.30 – 1.30 pm, online
IP & ME put together a lunch-&-learn masterclass for all IP professionals. Attendees took a lunch break to mentally fuel themselves and learnt how to take their power back from those negative inner thoughts!
Being a diverse community, it was also important to realise how those inner voices vary between people. Did you know that ethnic minorities may have louder negative inner voices than their majority peers? Guest speaker Sadia Salam provided tools and techniques for identifying and replacing these thoughts and beliefs. Everyone left the masterclass with an action plan to sustain learning and turn all curveballs to growthballs.Â
Meet the speaker
Sadia Salam returned to help the IP community – you might recognise her from a previous Women in IP event! Sadia is an Executive Coach, Inclusion Facilitator and Recovering Lawyer. She spent over 20 years as a lawyer, as Chief Legal Counsel to global management consultants, Oliver Wyman, and as a Senior Associate with international law firm, Osborne Clarke. Sadia now spends her time helping talent with great careers who are battling with their internal negative voice or feeling stuck or unfulfilled and supporting individuals and organisations to empower and champion Women and Black and Minority Ethnic leadership.
Who was it for?
This event was for anyone working in the UK’s IP professions, especially IP & ME supporters. We invited people to bring their friends and colleagues along too – perhaps even someone who was not yet involved with IP & ME. Everyone was most welcome.
Follow-up
In case you missed the live event, do have a read of IP & ME’s LinkedIn post about it, and this report from our News and Features page.
Cost
This event was free. So are all our resources. We think it’s important to keep IP Inclusive on the right side of the paywall.
That said, we do need money to keep the show on the road, so if you enjoyed the event, please consider contributing to our 2023-24 fundraising campaign. For more information – including about corporate donations – visit our fundraising page.
