We were delighted to learn that Charter signatory AA Thornton & Co will be kicking off IP Inclusive Week with an internal “AATea Time Talk” about what’s happening at IP Inclusive and the work the firm is doing to support the initiative across the profession.

Part of the discussions will almost certainly be about our outreach campaign Careers in Ideas, which AA Thornton have actively supported from the beginning.  Chris Burnett, an associate in the firm, helps to lead our Careers in Ideas team and has done some sterling work building a network of contacts who can help us spread the word about IP-related careers.

AA Thornton also told us that to celebrate diversity and inclusion in the firm, and at the same time raise money for MIND (this year’s AAT charity), they plan to hold an International Food Bake Sale on Tuesday 13th November.  “Savoury or sweet, spicy or not, home baked or bought”, they are asking everyone in the firm to bring in a tasty treat from around the world to share.  (Speaking as someone who always sent her children to school with a Co-op tray bake – partly through lack of time and partly through lack of culinary competence – I am glad the “bought” option is mentioned; inclusivity matters.)

Do let me know what you’re planning for IP Inclusive Week.  We can publish your ideas and help inspire others.

IP Inclusive leader
