25-31 October was Ace Week (formerly Asexuality Awareness Week), and to mark the event, IP Out hosted a talk about asexuality and aromanticism.
The talk was given by Katie Lewis, a volunteer with the AVEN (the Asexuality Visibility and Education Network) project team in the UK. She explained what asexuality is, what aromanticism is (and why it’s not the same as asexuality), the broader umbrella of orientations associated with asexuality (such as demisexuality and grey-asexuality), and some common misconceptions, as well as answering any questions you may have.
This event was kindly hosted by EIP.
The slides that accompanied the talk are available to download here.
