Abi Heath and Josh McLennon from Kilburn & Strode have kindly shared with us an article they wrote for their colleagues for Black History Month. They’ve compiled a list of Black History Month (BHM) events taking place in and around London during October 2021, so if you’re based in London or are able to visit, do see if you can tie in with one of these.

Josh is also a member of our IP & ME committee. He’s organised another of their online “coffee club” meets for the end of the month, so that’s another event you might want to put in the diary. It’s a half-hour informal chat from 9.30 to 10 am on Friday 29 October, and is open to both BAME IP professionals and allies. You can find the details here.

Abi and Josh write:

Black History Month is in full swing this October as you all know. There are a wide range of events running throughout the month, from exhibitions to performances and pop-up shops – something for absolutely everyone!

As part of Kilburn & Strode’s Diversity Forum, we’ve put together a shortlist of some of the most interesting celebrations in London and the surrounding areas below. You have to let us know if you attend any โ€“ we’d love to hear what you thought.

For those outside of London, we’d also love to hear if you have any BHM event recommendations too!
