An Inclusivity Unlocked! webinar
with Smart Working Revolution
Thursday 10 November 2022
12.30 – 1.30 pm
This was another event in our Inclusivity Unlocked! series. We were excited to be joined by Ruth Gawthorpe, the CEO of Smart Working Revolution and Jenna Massey, Practice Director at Gill Jennings & Every.
Inclusivity Unlocked! is a banner under which we are hosting a programme of events and corresponding resources on workplace inclusivity post-Covid. Our aim is to provide practical advice and guidance around how workplaces and working arrangements can be made more inclusive for all. There’s more information about the project, and the other events we have scheduled, here. There’s also an up-to-date list of scheduled and past events, with links to associated follow-up resources, here.
The team at Smart Working Revolution have 20 years of experience in helping organisations to design and build “smarter” operating models and cultures which improve business outputs. Their focus is on connectivity and collaboration within teams and they can provide specific support surrounding hybrid working models.
At this event, our speakers explored how hybrid working models can be designed and implemented to boost collaboration, innovation and productivity. The event took the form of a “fireside chat” with the chance for questions from the audience. Ruth and Jenna together provided their insights into both the challenges and the opportunities that exist when operating hybrid working models.
Meet the panel
Our speakers for the event were:
- Ruth Gawthorpe, the CEO of Smart Working Revolution. Ruth has spoken at IP Inclusive events before (see, for example, our 2020 webinar on the mental health impact of working from home) and we were excited to have her return. She also writes regular blog posts on hybrid and other forms of smart and agile working: see here.
- Jenna Massey, Practice Director at Gill Jennings & Every. Jenna sits on the firm’s Management Committee and is responsible for leading its operational functions. She has a keen interest in modern working practices to enhance business efficiency.
The discussion was chaired by IP Inclusive’s Lead Executive Officer, Andrea Brewster OBE.
Who was it for?
This event was open to all UK-based IP professionals. It doesn’t matter what type of organisation you work in, what role you play in it or what career level you are at; everyone was welcome. The event was of particular interest to those who are responsible for overseeing the implementation of new working models, such as people in HR and management positions.

Cost
This event was free. So are all our resources. We think it’s important to keep IP Inclusive on the right side of the paywall.
That said, we do need money to keep the show on the road, so if you enjoyed the event, please consider contributing to our 2022-23 fundraising campaign. For more information – including about corporate donations – visit our fundraising page.
